Bite of Life
by: Fahyim Abdul
A sweetened cup of milk,
A pinch of salt,
A handful 'asam jawa',
Poured well in the water of life,
Taste spices our life,
Texture mixtures for years,
Depicting an undeniable closeness,
Impeding disbelieving in faith and love,
Where there is a certainty of pause, pulse and crosses of life,
Thus releasing immense mouthwatering talk of our past,
If I could manifest how meaningful you are in my previous life,
and If I could portray how close I want to hug you tight in the night blue sky,
Where would I seek another you as the time pass by?
Why would you be sorry if I am the one who supposed to ask?
